Whether you are a novice or a veteran, the Rivière du Diable offers a section of river accessible to all.

You will have access to several sandy beaches on your trip down the river.

 

 

À L’ABORDAGE offers you the privilege of enjoying the beautiful rivière du Diable, its surrounding nature and its peaceful tranquility.

 

This privilege could be taken away from you if you do not respect these following basic rules :

    1. respect the tranquility of the residents residing along the river
    2. respect and protect the flora and fauna
    3. you must commit to leaving no trace by ensuring you use the appropriate bins to throw out or recycle all items brought with you
    4. no alcohol is permitted as indicated by the rules set out by the minister of transport

Difficulty: Beginner-intermediate *
Take our shuttle to the starting point on the river. Your trip ends at our reception office.

*Depending on the water level, you will encounter some class 1 rapids.

Set off for an outdoor adventure on this peaceful section of the river (it has some whitewater) to discover the region’s diverse wildlife.

 

Follow this easy-to-moderate trail at your own pace, with friends or family.

 

* Depending on the water level, this section begins with small Class I Rapids for 800 m (so you can have a little fun!)

  1. Book your package online using a credit card.
  2. Arrive at your assigned time, the shuttle leaves in the next 1/2 hour depending in the reservations. 😉
  3. Check-in with our staff to receive safety instructions and to learn basic canoeing and kayaking techniques.
  4. Set off on the shuttle bus.
  5. Paddle down the Rivière du Diable (without a guide).
  6. The trip duration may vary depending on the river’s flow and your pace.

Safety

  • Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) must be worn at all times.
  • You must be entirely self-sufficient during the trip downriver.
  • You are therefore responsible for your own safety.
  • We have a river section for all levels of experience, but we suggest you ensure that at least one member of your group has some experience should it be your first time.
  • Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Watercraft legislation prohibits alcohol consumption.

All our packages include:

* Canoes can carry a maximum load of 600 lbs. However, for your own safety and depending on the river level, the number of people in each canoe is at the discretion of reception desk staff.

Dogs are welcome on the shuttle buses and in the canoes accompanied by their conscientious owner.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel or modify your reservation a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

You will be reimbursed 90% of your invoice to cover the costs of the credit card charges,

however a modification as to the date or time of the activity will not incur charges.

Less than 24 hours to activity, the total amount will be billed.

In case of rain, the activities will still take place.
